Blixan Privacy Promise

✅ Content you intentionally share: All photos you upload, tags you add (weather, food, location, friends on your blanket), favorite picnic marks, notes you add to journal pages, and custom spots you save to your personal list. You choose what to share — you never have to add location tags, friend tags, or even photos if you only want to log your picnic as a text entry.

✅ Usage data to make Blixan work better for you: We collect anonymous data about which features you use most: whether you prefer timeline or calendar view, how often you export journal pages, which Picnic Guide tips you save, and how many picnics you log each month. This data is never linked to your identity, and we only use it to improve features people actually use.

✅ Basic device info for backup & sync: If you choose to turn on cloud backup, we collect minimal device information to make sure your memories sync across your phone, tablet, and any other devices you use. We don't track your other app usage, location history outside of Blixan, or browsing activity.

🌼 First rule: Your private memories stay private. We will never view, access, or use your personal picnic photos, notes, or tags for any purpose except to provide the features you ask for. We will never scan your photos to target you with ads, we will never use your private content to train AI models, and we will never share your picnic spots or friend lists with third parties.

🌼 To power the features you love: We use your data to sort your photos by season/place, generate your annual picnic year in review, auto-suggest tags for your next picnic, export the styled journal pages you request, and sync your memories across devices if you have backup turned on.

🌼 To make the Picnic Guide better for everyone: Anonymous aggregate data (like which picnic spots are most popular in spring, or what food people bring most often to beach picnics) is used to update our built-in Picnic Guide tips. This data can never be traced back to you individually.

🌼 If you submit content to the Picnic Guide: We will always ask for your explicit permission before sharing any of your tips, photos, or picnic rituals in the public guide, and we will never include your personal information unless you specifically ask us to.

❌ We will never sell, rent, or lease any of your personal data to advertisers, marketers, or third-party platforms.

✅ We only share your data in two very limited cases:

• When you explicitly choose to share content: If you share your picnic posts to external social platforms, or send a journal page to a friend, that content is shared according to the privacy settings of the platform you choose to share to.
• When we are required to by applicable mandatory rules that we cannot lawfully refuse: If this ever happens, we will notify you of the request as soon as we are legally allowed to, so you can take action if you wish.

You are always in charge of your data on Blixan:

• You can edit, delete, or archive any individual picnic entry, photo, or tag at any time.
• You can export all of your data (all photos, tags, notes, and logs) as a zip file to save to your own device whenever you want.
• You can turn off cloud backup at any time, and keep all of your picnic data stored only on your local device, so it never touches our servers.
• You can delete your entire account and all associated data permanently at any time, with no waiting period or hoops to jump through. Once you delete your account, all of your data is completely erased from our systems within 72 hours, with no backups kept.
• You can opt out of all non-essential data collection at any time in your app settings, without losing access to any core Blixan features.

All data stored on our cloud servers is end-to-end encrypted, which means not even Blixan engineers can access the content of your picnic photos, notes, or logs. We run regular security audits and update our systems monthly to protect against data breaches, hacks, and unauthorized access.

We only store your data for as long as you have an active Blixan account. If you do not log into your account for 3 consecutive years, we will send you a notice asking if you want to keep your account active. If you do not respond within 90 days, we will permanently delete all of your data from our systems.
